Searching Cases by Name
Schley County has no single public name box that spans its courts. For Superior Court, the starting point is the Georgia E-Access Court Records directory. That directory routes Schley Superior users to PeachCourt. It also states plainly that an account is required. Before sign-in, the PeachCourt screen offers no party, county, case type, or date fields. So whatever search options exist past login, no one can promise them here.
- Identify the court from the case type. Felony and major civil matters point to Superior Court; probate and Magistrate matters use their shared annex; Ellaville citations use Municipal Court.
- For Superior Court, select Schley in Georgia E-Access and follow the PeachCourt link. Sign in or register only through the official provider route.
- After authorized access, enter the narrowest identifiers the system requests. Use an exact name, alternate spelling, filing year, and court when those filters are available.
- Check the returned court, case style, year, and case number before relying on a match. Save the newest setting and public disposition shown.
- If no match appears, call the responsible clerk. Ask for a search by full party name, approximate year, and case type.
The PeachCourt access screen shows the public sign-in gate that stands in front of any Schley County case search.

The page documents the account controls and nothing more, so it cannot confirm which fields or prices appear after login.
Schley County E-Access Route
Think of the Georgia Judicial Gateway as a routing layer, not a statewide docket database. Its county-by-provider directory lists Schley Superior with PeachCourt. That tie makes it the safest first stop. It connects the county to the provider named by Georgia Courts. A broad web search, by contrast, can land you on an index system. It can also land you on a ticket payment site or some unrelated commercial database.
| Visible control | Type | Required | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Schley Superior link | Directory route | Choose county | Redirects to the assigned provider |
| Text field | Yes for sign-in | PeachCourt account credential | |
| Password | Password field | Yes for sign-in | PeachCourt account credential |
| Register / recovery | Account controls | As needed | No guest case form was visible |
Neither the directory nor the login page shows a free guest result, document-image coverage, refresh rate, or per-document cost. Take those questions to PeachCourt support or Clerk Kimberly McKinney.
Searching by Case Number
A precise case number beats a common name every time. Uniform Superior Court Rule 36.9 sets the local identifier in this order: year + case type + consecutive number + judge assignment when required. The account-gated Schley portal does not display its real punctuation or case-type abbreviations in public. A guessed "CV" or "CR" code would be misleading. Copy the number straight from a filed notice, pleading, receipt, or prior docket result. Keep every digit and separator intact. If a clerk search becomes necessary, bring the case style and filing year too. Older records may live in paper, microfilm, minutes, or final-record books. Georgia's current technology does not prove that every pre-digital Schley County case made it into PeachCourt.
Note: A federal number follows a different pattern. It should never be entered as if it were a Schley Superior case number.
Schley County Common-Name Search
A name alone can match the wrong person. It can also miss entirely, because the caption spells things differently. Try the exact legal name first, then a known alternate spelling. After that, narrow the search by court, year, case type, and event date. For a business or an estate, skip the casual name. Use the formal case style from a notice instead.
Build a clerk-ready request. Give the full caption, court, approximate filing year, case type, and any known case number or hearing date.
Still no Schley County result? Do not conclude that no case exists. It may sit in Probate, Magistrate, Juvenile, or Municipal Court, it may be restricted, or it may need an older-file search. The Superior Clerk sits at 47 North Pecan Street, P.O. Box 7, Ellaville, GA 31806, phone 229-937-5581. Published hours run 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.
What a Case Search Returns
The field descriptions here come from Georgia's Uniform Superior Court Rules rather than any private case file. A docket is, at heart, a chronological index. It can point to filed papers, settings, orders, pleas, judgments, or a disposition without making each image public.
| Case Number | The court's unique identifier, with year, type, sequence, and possible judge assignment. |
|---|---|
| Style / Parties | The formal caption, such as plaintiff and defendant or State and defendant. |
| Filed Date | The date the action entered the clerk's record. |
| Judge | The assigned judicial officer if displayed. |
| Entries | Dated filings, service, motions, orders, settings, and later case events. |
| Status / Disposition | The current posture or result if the public view supplies it. |
From a Schley County case search, note the court, the case number, the style, the filing date, the latest setting, the disposition, and any document identifier. Skip any protected personal data you run across. An image of a page is no stand-in for a certified record from the clerk.
Schley County Clerk Fallbacks
Schley County case search access is split among offices. Kimberly McKinney keeps the Superior civil and criminal records. Sharon Miller serves as Probate/Magistrate clerk at the same 47 North Pecan location. Magistrate phone is 229-937-5110, and Probate phone is 229-937-2905. Ellaville Municipal Court routes through City Hall at 229-937-2207. The county publishes no separate Schley Juvenile clerk contact. For an in-person request, bring the court, full caption, case number, approximate year, and record type. For mail, use the applicable office box. Confirm fees, payment form, certification, and return method before you send anything. Fax and email contacts are published. No official page promises that every request can be finished through those channels. The county's administrative open-records route at 14 South Broad Street is no substitute for the clerk who holds the court file.
Statewide vs County Case Search
Georgia offers no single public search box that joins every Schley County court. The official statewide layer is the Georgia E-Access directory, which identifies a participating county's provider; PeachCourt then supplies the account-gated Schley Superior route. Local clerk channels cover the courts and records the provider does not promise.
| Georgia E-Access | Schley County route |
|---|---|
| County-by-county provider directory | PeachCourt for Superior; local offices for other courts |
| No party-name case form on the directory | Account gate observed for Superior access |
| Best for finding the official provider | Best for a known local case and clerk follow-up |
The GSCCCA search hub is one more statewide option. Its indexes cover real estate, liens, plats, UCC, PT-61, and notary records. Those recorded-instrument systems cannot stand in for a live Superior civil or criminal docket.
Schley County Search Boundaries
Each Schley County tool expects something different. EZ Court Pay asks plainly for a date of birth. It also wants a citation number or last name. PeachCourt's public screen wants account credentials. The Southwestern Circuit calendar offers judge and county links instead of a name form. Pick the wrong tool. You may read a false "no result" as the final word. Not every court has a search box. Probate and Magistrate Court list no public case-search option on the county page. Call or visit the shared annex instead. Ellaville's Municipal Court page handles payments rather than full docket viewing. Juvenile cases carry special confidentiality rules. Remember that these are structural limits, not proof a case never existed. Work a Schley County case search in order. Identify the court first, then reach for the matching portal or counter. Only after that should spelling, year, and case number be tested.
Schley County Federal Cases
Federal matters tied to Schley County never land in the local Superior Court clerk's docket. They belong to the federal system. Schley sits inside the Albany Division of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. The district's own county list backs that up. PACER and CM/ECF handle the federal docket layer, so any case lookup at that level runs through them rather than the Schley County clerk.
For a quick look at the court itself, the Middle District homepage covers the federal tribunal serving Schley County. It also explains its divisions and how its docket search tools work.

This federal route sits apart from Peach Court and Georgia E-Access. For the Albany Division assignment itself, the Middle District qualifying-counties page is the official word.

The county listing helps a searcher choose the right federal division before using PACER.
Schley County PACER Search
PACER needs registration, and it returns federal dockets with document links. Pricing runs $0.10 per page, usually capped at $3 per document or case-specific report. Name searches, non-case-specific reports, and transcripts fall outside that cap. Charges of $30 or less in a quarter are waived, though. A federal case number can look like 7:26-cv-00228-WLS-CHW. That is not a Georgia state identifier.

PACER is the official national gateway once a matter belongs to federal court. The Middle District's CM/ECF court information shows court-specific system details. It also explains the federal number structure.

CM/ECF runs the district's filing and docket work behind the scenes. Public searches usually begin in PACER instead. For the courthouse route, the Albany Division office page covers Schley County federal matters.

You can reach the Albany office at 201 West Broad Avenue, Albany, GA 31701. The phone is 229-430-8432, and posted weekday hours run 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Access and Restricted Cases
Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 generally opens Superior records to the public. It does so within the law and any qualifying court order. Rule 21.6 and the electronic-access rules shield personal and confidential details. Social Security numbers, account numbers, and full birth dates may be redacted or withheld.
Juvenile and adoption files get extra protection. A sealed file might be absent, marked restricted, or reduced to a limited docket entry. That entry may carry no document image. Georgia criminal-history restriction under O.C.G.A. ยง35-3-37 does not promise every court entry vanishes either. Before assuming anything, rule out the wrong court. Also rule out the wrong year, a spelling slip, an old paper file, or an account gate. Then ask the clerk whether a restriction applies. Ask what eligibility or court order it takes.
A missing Schley County result says nothing about a person's history. Public docket access exists to find and understand court records. Certification comes only from the clerk.
Save Schley County Case Details
When a Schley County result opens, capture enough to find it again. Note the court, case number, full style, filing date, and judge. Add public parties or counsel, latest setting, disposition, and any document identifier. For a pleading or order you may request later, save the entry date and title too. Leave protected identifiers alone.
A portal entry can be current yet still lack the filed image. It can also keep an old setting in the chronological record. Check the next event against the Schley County court calendar. Confirm discrepancies with the clerk or calendar staff. Need a certified copy, transcript, or full case file? Ask the custodian about the request form, fee, and delivery method. The official sources post no current Schley Superior copy fee.
